We are going to have to be tough on these rules this year. If all camp members follow these rules, it will eliminate stress and bad energy on the playa!

  1. 50 MEMBER LIMIT: There will be no more than 50 people in camp.
  2. CAMP DUES $120-$150: All members must pay camp dues (see "why should I pay dues") You are only considered a member after you have paid your camp dues.
  3. $150 AFTER AUGUST 1st: Anyone joining after August 1st must pay $150.
  4. CUTOFF DATE, AUG 15th: No new people may join camp later than August 15th.
  5. ALL VIRGINS MUST BE INVITED BY EXPERIENCED MEMBERS: Experienced burners may invite virgins, but virgins may not invite virgins. If a virging wants to bring friends etc, the member who invited the original virgin must meet all the new folk and make sure they understand camp rules, dues, etc.
  6. 50 PERSON LIMIT MAY BE STRETCHED IF NEEDED: If we reach 70 members before July 15th, and camp members from previous years have not had a chance to join, they may do so.
  7. CONSERVE WATER: Absolutely NO electric pumps can be used in the shower.
  8. DISHES: Wash dishes respectively. Read and understand the dish washing rules.
  9. KITCHEN: Keep the kitched clean!!!
  10. VOLUNTEER LIST: All camp members MUST volunteer to help with at least two camp volunteer tasks.(tasks listed below)
  11. NO GLASS: Do not bring glass, if you bring glass you have to take it home with you. Do not put glass in the trash.
  12. GARBAGE: Do not put gross garbage in the camp trash. If you have wet disgusting garbage (example, un-eaten spaghetti, rotting fruit, spoiled meat, etc) it is YOUR problem. Do not put it in the camp garbage because someone else will have to deal with it, and that is not fair. The camp garbage is a courtesy for moop lying around.
  13. CLEAN YOUR MOOP: If you see any kind of MOOP, pick it up and throw it away.
  14. NO PACKAGING: Whenever possible, DO NOT BRING PACKAGING.  For example, if you get a 12 pack of beer, take the beer OUT OF THE CARDBOARD CASE AND LEAVE THAT AT HOME!
  15. COSTUMES: Please use careful costume planning to reduce MOOP. Do not wear or bring costumes that shed or create MOOP (non-turkey feather type-boas and etc). and in general to make sure everything in camp, and on our persons, is well-secured.
  16. GLOWING GARBAGE: Glowy stuff is fun on the playa, but the disposable glowy stuff can be annoying and create a lot of waste.  Make an effort to have re-usable glow stuff and unpackage it before taking it to the playa. If you have disposable glow-stuff (such as glow sticks).  Do not throw this in some random camps trash when they die, you must take this home to your camp and dispose of it.
  17. SMOKING AND BUTT MOOP: DO NOT THROW CIGARETTE BUTTS ON THE PLAYA!
  18. PLATES,CUPS,ETC: Camp is not supplying cutlery and plateware. Paper or plastic disposable stuff is discouraged (unless you're going to use it for the whole time.).

    Every camp member must volunteer for at least 2 duties on this list. Hopefully we will have more than 1 person perform each duty each day.

     

    Aluminum to center camp
    (collect aluminum from camp and take it to center camp. We will have a bike with a trailer for doing this)

    Clean Camp Moop .
    (done at least 2-times/day. You must pick up all garbage from the dome and common areas, and walk around camp and the streets near camp picking up moop)
    Empty trash/Crush Water bottles/Burnable to burn bin
    (Collect all the water bottles crush them and put them in a water bottle bag. During the day, empty the camp trash and replace the garbage bag. Take burnables to the burn bin)

    Clean Kitchen
    (Wash Dishes, clean dish water, pick up garbage)
